Zhang Xiaoyan, chief physician of the Department of Respiratory Medicine, graduated from the Department of Medicine of Zhejiang Medical University (now Zhejiang University School of Medicine) with a bachelor's degree in November 1982. After graduation, she was assigned to Fuyang County People's Hospital (now the First People's Hospital of Fuyang District, Hangzhou) Internal medicine work. He studied for one year in the Internal Medicine Department of the First Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University, one year in the Department of Respiratory Medicine and Bronchoscopy, and went to Beijing Chaoyang Hospital for training in pulmonary function and sleep breathing monitoring. From 2002 to 2004, he went to Zhejiang University School of Medicine to pursue a postgraduate course in clinical medicine. He has successively served as deputy director of the First Department of Internal Medicine, director of the Department of Respiratory Neurology, director of the Department of Respiratory Endocrinology, and director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine. He was promoted to chief physician in 2004 and is the firstlevel chief physician of the "123" outstanding talents of the District No. 1 Hospital. Retired in 2019 and has been employed ever since.

He has been engaged in clinical internal medicine for forty years, and has a solid theoretical foundation, rich clinical, teaching, and scientific research experience, and is proficient in specialized diagnostic technologies such as pulmonary function, bronchoscopy, nitric oxide measurement, sleep breathing monitoring, and non-invasive ventilator. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult and complex diseases of the respiratory system, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease, pneumoconiosis, respiratory failure, severe pneumonia, sleep apnea syndrome and other diseases.

Published more than 10 papers in national and provincial magazines. Among the scientific research topics studied, one won the second prize of Hangzhou Science and Technology Progress Award and one second prize of Fuyang Science and Technology Progress Award.
