【Current status of subject】

The Department of Gastroenterology currently has 69 fixed beds, with more than 70,000 outpatient visits per year, more than 2,000 inpatient visits per year, and nearly 30,000 endoscopic examinations and treatments per year. There are 17 practicing physicians, including 3 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, 5 attending physicians, and 6 resident physicians, including 7 master's degree students. The department is equipped with a large number of the most advanced endoscopic examination, treatment and disinfection equipment in the country: Olympus 290 series high-definition gastrointestinal endoscope, Olympus EU-ME2 endoscopic ultrasound, Aibo electrosurgical workstation, Medtronic PillCam capsule endoscope , the United States Mingtaike fully automatic washer and disinfection machine. The projects we currently carry out include: routine and painless gastroenteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasonography and treatment, endoscopic polypectomy, endoscopic foreign body removal, endoscopic hemostasis, digestive tract Inspections and treatments include stent placement, esophageal and gastric variceal ligation and sclerotherapy injection, endoscopic tube placement, percutaneous gastrostomy, endoscopic mucosal dissection, etc. This department has a high success rate in rescuing severe pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, etc. It also has a high success rate in treating reflux esophagitis, peptic ulcer, Helicobacter pylori infection, functional gastrointestinal disease, and digestive tract tumors. At present, our department is developing rapidly and has rich experience in treating major gastrointestinal diseases such as massive gastrointestinal bleeding, severe pancreatitis, cirrhosis, massive gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, and liver failure. From the early 1990s to the present, we have carried out many types of endoscopic treatments, including the first gastrointestinal endoscopy in Fuyang District. Now we can independently and smoothly carry out: endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic mucosal dissection, and esophageal varices treatment. 【Scientific research results】
